Scott Ikeda MD MPH is a Board Certified, New York State Licensed Family Medicine Physician. He received his medical school training at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai and completed his residency at the Residency Program in Social Medicine at Montefiore Medical Center, both in New York City. Prior to becoming a doctor he worked on a number of HIV prevention initiatives and studies for the San Francisco Department of Public Health and the New York City Department of Health. He has also worked for several global health programs including the Centers for Infectious Disease Research in Zambia and Doctors Without Borders. As the Medical Director for the unHoused Outreach and Mobile Engagement (HOME) program at the Bronx Health Collective of Montefiore Medical Center, he oversaw a program delivering high-quality primary health care to families in the New York City shelter system. He is currently the Family Medicine Team Leader for AMPATH Ghana, a collaboration between a consortium of medical schools in the US led by NYU and the University of Development Studies in Tamale, Ghana, with the goal of furthering Ghana’s vision of equitable healthcare through sustainable improvements in care, research and education.
